Frank Smeekes joined A.T. Kearney Executive Search in 1993 and successfully builds and manages both global and national accounts. Frank understands the changing global nature of business today and has extensive experience recruiting “change agents” and executives who can “think outside of the box.” With over 100 placements in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America, Frank successfully conducts searches in a variety of functional areas, interacting with Boards of Directors, CEOs and Human Resources executives of international organizations. Frank is a member of the Board of Directors for Orchard Village, a home for mentally disabled individuals, and also serves The Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, The Executives’ Club of Chicago and the International Human Resources Management Association.

Previous Experience
Before beginning his executive search career,  Frank began his post-graduate school career with Fokker Aircraft in Europe. He was the turnaround manager for a retail operation in the Netherlands, and he previously served as marketing and sales manager for a leading car insurance company. He was also a management consultant focused on bringing a more market effective approach to reengineering companies, with a concentration in industrial, technology, financial services and consumer industry companies.

Education
Frank earned a Master of Business Administration from Newport University, Utrecht, the Netherlands and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from HEAO, Breda, the Netherlands. He has also completed post-graduate study on Organization Techniques at the University of Delft, the Netherlands.
