Ric Comins provides strategic, value-added consulting expertise in executive search, succession planning, executive compensation and management development. Ric has recruited senior retailing executives for both domestic and global organizations, including division and country presidents; chief operating, financial, administrative, merchandising, and information officers; and top marketing, supply chain, global sourcing, and human resources executives.

Previous Experience
Prior to joining A.T. Kearney Executive Search, Ric was the Chief Human Resources officer for OfficeMax, Kmart Corporation, and Britches of Georgetown. He began his career at Bamberger’s (a division of R.H. Macy’s) holding positions in both merchandising and human resources. He later joined Rich’s Department Stores in Atlanta, a division of Federated Department Stores, as Divisional Vice President of Human Resources, and he was ultimately named Operating Vice President for Organization and Executive Development for the corporation. During his tenure at KMart, Ric was recognized by HR Executive Magazine as one of five HR executives who had built world-class programs in succession planning and management development.

Education
Ric earned his B.A. in government at Harvard and did extensive graduate work in management at New York University’s Graduate School of Business Administration.
