John Carroll has extensive search experience in the areas of banking (corporate banking, debt markets), global insurance markets, and multinationals, and specializes in searches for Country Manager, Managing Director, Regional Underwriters, Actuaries and multiple functional disciplines such as Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel, Head of Business Development, Chief Operating Officer and HR Directors across the Asia Pacific. In 2005, Mr. Carroll initiated the firm’s entry into the Higher Education sector in Singapore with an engagement for the Director of Strategic Planning for Singapore Management University. He is an active member of The British Chamber of Commerce, Singapore as well as the American Chamber of Commerce, Singapore. John has been living in Asia since 1976.

Previous Experience
Before joining the executive search industry, John was Vice President for Correspondent Banking in First Pacific Bank in Hong Kong and Deputy Representative for Bank of Boston in Australia. Earlier in his career, he held several management positions with Marine Midland Bank including four years in Paris, six years in Japan and three years in Singapore in several divisions including corporate banking, treasury marketing, merchant banking and credit. John began his career with Citibank in London with positions in credit analysis, credit training and cost analysis.

John earned a degree from Ratcliffe College in Leicester, England.
